Liza Pretorius

Ex-HSH, she equipped herself to handle general admin & debt collecting, becoming the Financial Officer of HSH in 2012, & it's hostels, in 2015.

She loves reading & is meticulous in her work.

Esmé Kaufmann

Esmé Kaufmann is a dedicated mom of two working in the HSH financial office since 2026, with previous experience at local accounting firms. She enjoys people and brings a warm, collaborative approach to her role.

She loves the outdoors, spending time in the water and sun, and making memories with her loved ones.

Cathrin Maree

She studied at Stellenbosch College (secretarial) & has 17 years' HSH experience.

She does admin & runs the School Clothes Shop & the small School Museum in her quiet way.

Annemarie Lourens

Coming from the Dept of Labour & SAPS, she's been at HSH for 8 years in Reception & Admin.

She greets visitors with a happy, helpful face & supports the Principal.

Barend Jordaan

Barend has been involved in schools for many years, from youth worker to facilitating leadership camps, teambuildings, school camps & school marketing. Barend joined HSH in 2025 to work on marketing, sponsorships, events and fundraising.

He is a natural networker and loves spending time with his family and in nature.

Jurina Robbertse

She works in the HSH Cafeteria with the RoverStopover motto of "Today's the Day!"

Originally from Villiersdorp, she's married with 2 sons who both completed High School at Hopefield.

Petro Clifford

She works in the RoverStopover Cafeteria where they also do the ordinary in extraordinary ways.

She's a seasoned Hopefielder and her son completed his schooling at HSH.

Erna de Waal

Erna has worked in the HSH library for 3 years, where she expresses her love for learning and organization. In addition, she's responsible for attending to children's injuries, day-to-day admin, and managing the RoverStopOver and sports café. She also handles all online applications for HSH and oversees the school's website content.

In her free time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Janus van Zyl

Janus is the HSH Sport Manager and Organiser since 2026 with 21 years' experience in this - a passion for him. As a qualified rugby and cricket coach, he's been coaching these for more than 20 years (both at first team level).

He also loves spending time with family and friends.

Hannalize Engelbrecht - School Counsellor

She has a B. Psych degree and offers short term counselling, screening & identification of mental health challenges to Gr R-12 at HSH since 2023.

She facilitates referrals to other appropriate professionals for long term, in depth intervention. She offers identification, co-ordination and support for leaners with learning barriers.

She enjoys time with family, friends and her cat, Matewis. She also loves to read mystery novels and makes polymer clay earrings.
